The independent index for what AI capability costs

Cambent exists to give the AI economy an honest price.

As companies run more models, they still lack one independent number for what capability costs. Cambent publishes that number.

Why we're building this

We've spent our careers inside enterprise infrastructure, selling exactly this transition — watching a raw technical resource become a shared reference the market can price against. We've run the play at the heart of Cambent before: publish an independent benchmark, help buyers see fair rates, and — when the market opens — let capacity move against that standard. Cambent publishes the number; you decide what to run. It worked in enterprise computing. AI tokens are next, and this time the standard itself is the product.

The index is live — methodology published and tracked. We’re recruiting a technical cofounder from trading, settlement, or pricing-engine systems. If that’s you, we’d like to talk.

— CAMBENT, 2026

Three commitments we won't trade away.

NEUTRALITY

Independent by design

An independent index can value every model against one standard. Cambent sells no models and runs no cloud — our incentive is an honest number. Use it however you like: read it, price against it, or wire it into your own routing.

TRUST

Prices, not your knowledge

Cambent's benchmark learns from prices and aggregate outcomes, not from your prompts or evaluations.

TRANSPARENCY

A published standard

A benchmark is worth what its methodology can defend. The TKX ships with its methodology in the open — an equal-weighted basket (consumption-weighting later), capability adjustment, and update cadence, documented.
